Bienvenue 2013,

Eight months later and I decided to open up random unfinished draft. I wish I had finished and posted this back in January, but it was a surprise opening it up today.

I walk into you with confidence and dreams. Having grown tired and irritated of being treated like a child by many of my surrounding relationships, I will use you as my excuse to finally step up. That way it's not so out of the blue, this year will show others what I am actually capable of . . . stopping the doubt and the underestimations.

Though I'm still unsure what words I have for 2012, I find my letter to 2013 very pleasant. I'm happy to report that the content of the letter is positively reigning true more and more each day. I no longer underestimate myself as I did before. I've been taking chances and standing my ground.

Goals

I finally mustered up the courage to publish the "Mes Buts" page... 

Originally to be called the Bucket List, I realized it wasn't just a list of things I wanted to do before I die. I'm used to comparing my list to these über glorified & exciting bucket lists posted all over the internet. Although somewhat fearing judgement, if I'm going to post my goals up for the world to see, then I'm going to be completely honest about it. 

I found my list isn't just crazy risks or things that are once in a lifetime. They're things that some people may have already done in life, things I want to do before a certain season ends (and will most likely repeat every year), and simple tasks I feel I need to do to feel accomplished in life and become a better person. 

I want to go to bed every night feeling that I made progress towards something on my list.

It's a hard task to write everything you want to do in life. I had to practically tear my bedroom apart to find my notebook that I had used to keep track of it all. I took a bright blue pen to the paper, scribbled out all of the things that were no longer important to me, and began to type. I have no doubt that I will randomly think of things to add all the time and I surely will make posts when I cross something off the list.

Some things I have to work towards over time, others will be a one time thing or even luck. Basically, the page is a hodgepodge mess of my wishes, hopes, and dreams ☆

Stories Coming Soon

Thought I'd do a quick post before class to alert any followers still reading that I am back in the groove and ready to write! I have had a lazy summer and finished a week of school already. Tonight is the night I will catch up on the things I must write about! Keep an eye out for stories coming soon! I promise they will be interesting... to some :)

Library Madness

Over this past week I have been experiencing so much frustration with Blogger. I have written and scheduled blogs for this entire past week and none of them have posted! Blogger wouldn't even let me edit them. I'll be surprised if this post actually publishes, but if it does, please know that I will try and fix this all soon and those posts will be up as soon as I can get them to cooperate. Unfortunately, I haven't had much time to fiddle with it as classes have just ended for the semester and the dreaded finals week has arrived. Today I had a nice break from studying and was able to go to the ROTC cook-out with my friends for a few hours. Keenan's dad makes amazing things on the grill. I am currently in the library, back to studying and wishing I could still be at the detachment with everyone else :b Well, must get back to killing myself with physics! I have until 8 o'clock am on Saturday to study and re-do homework problems! Wish me luck and keep an eye out for my delayed posts ★

Identity Crisis

I have a long list of things to do to this blog before I'll feel satisfied enough to begin passing the link around to my friends & family. Unfortunately, classes are really baring down on me since the end of the semester is getting closer and closer. I wish I had at least an hour or two a day just to make small changes and begin making my blog look unique. My first frustration is the name. Life Through My Blue Eyes seems so common to me. Every spare chance I am thinking of something I can claim as my own. I know that the limits are endless, but I feel so helplessly limited.

I began writing this post before coming up with the new name "Chaque Belle Fleur" { French for each beautiful flower }. It was this very picture that I made {see above} that opened my mind to the possibilities of naming my blog in French. After all, French is my favorite the best language. I was also inspired by this picture of my adorable niece that I wanted to use for my favicon.

Once I was satisfied with the name, I attempted altering my template, theme, etc. Ultimately I am proud & content with how much I was able to transform my blog. I have a lot of work I need to do before I will be truly happy.
